Peace Village
Peace Village is our pilot project in the city of San Diego. Located on a church campus near City Heights, this village of twenty cottages will be dedicated to welcoming new neighbors. In partnership with local resettlement agencies, the church will provide supportive housing for their clients in a park-like setting. Despite having authorized migratory status, Village residents still face enormous obstacles in creating a stable living situation. Peace Village will mitigate those by not only offering a safe and comfortable living environment, but also by ensuring access to resettlement services, medical and mental health care, tutoring, accompaniment and enrichment activities. Guests will be invited into Village leadership roles, respecting their dignity and agency as they take steps to build a new life here.
Rising Tide Ranch
Rising Tide is a sober living village to support those individuals experiencing housing insecurity and addiction. Residents will receive case management to support their process in finding stable housing while working towards a life worth living in recovery. More information will be coming soon.

Be the next village
Interested in hosting a village on your property? Churches or other organizations can host a community of 3 to 30 cottages on their property. Casas de Luz covers all expenses of materials and construction of the cottages and will work with the church to determine their desired level of involvement.
After construction, a social services organization will assume the operations of the village to place individuals and provide case management, connecting them with services to help each individual achieve their own independence plan. If the village host desires to support a certain population, they are more than welcome.
