Mother: Rosalina Hernandez, 54 years old

Children: Felipe, age 16; Julio Cesar, age 21

Occupation:  Rosalina helps her sister sell items at the swap meet.

The family is currently living in a rented house. Rosalina has just purchased the land for a home in the new community of Todos los Santos, and has been very active in making this new colonia become a vibrant community. The local pastor recommended her.

Mother: Viridiana Elizabeth Valdez Tosqui, age 39; Grandmother: Rosa Maria, age 7

Children: Samantha, age 21; Kenia, age 5; Alison, age 3; Bruno, age 1; Alexandra, 11 months.

Occupation: The mother, Elizabeth, was recently laid off from her job working in a factory, because she missed too many work hours to deal with results of the fire.

Situation: On August 16th, Elizabeth’s house burned down in an electrical fire. The 7 people, of 3 generations, residing there were forced to separate and live with friends.

Land: In Colonia Cumbres, Pastor Jose of Todos los Santos is primary contac.

Father: Eduardo “Lalo” Inclan, age 29; Mother: Claudia Monterrosas, age 30

Children: Andrea, age 11; Andres, age 10; Rogelio, age 9

Occupation: Lalo works as a carpenter.

The family currently resides in a borrowed house that can be reclaimed at any time. They have purchased land, but have no extra funds to build a home. Lalo has helped on many Casas de Luz home builds over the years and is a very hard worker and very committed to supporting his family.

Mother: Maria de Lourdes Martinez Lopez, 31 years old

Children: Carlos, age 14; Joanna, age 13; Manuel, age 4

Occupation: Maria works 6 days a week in a factory

This family is previously resided in a rented house. They had been paying off their land for over 7 years and had only 29 payments left. Providing them a home significantly improved their standards of living.
